Reports on Progress in Physics has a long history of serving the entire physics community. It is established as one of the world’s authoritative journals for the field, boasting an archive of seminal and influential review content. Since its first issue in 1934, the journal has been proud to publish expert contributions from Nobel Prize winners from Lawrence Bragg and Nevill Mott through to Ferenc Krausz and Pierre Agostini.

Now the journal is evolving. Since 2013, we have been considering original research articles for the first time. The aim is to create a journal that enhances and amplifies essential physics and ensure our authors and their work achieve the recognition and broad reach they deserve.

Reports on Progress in Physics will publish a small number of high-impact research papers, curated by a dedicated team of Scientific Editors who are always on hand to provide our authors advice and guidance. The papers we publish are improved through IOPP’s exceptionally high standards of peer review combined with the input from our editorial board of internationally recognised physicists.

David Gevaux博士本科毕业于曼彻斯特大学，并于帝国理工学院获物理学博士学位。现任英国物理学会出版社（IOP Publishing）Progress In系列期刊的主编，负责包括Reports on Progress in Physics和Progress in Energy在内的重要学术期刊的战略规划与编辑工作。他于2023年9月履新，拥有超过十七年的学术出版经验，曾在施普林格·自然出版社（Springer Nature）担任多个科学编辑与管理职务。任职以来，Gevaux博士积极推动Progress In系列期刊的发展，拓展Reports on Progress in Physics的刊载内容，将高质量原创研究论文纳入传统综述体系之中，进一步提升期刊的学术影响力。他高度重视严谨的同行评审体系与以作者为中心的服务体验，在Reports on Progress in Physics九十周年之际，主导策划了期刊发展的重要里程碑活动，持续推动物理学领域高水平成果的传播。
